Advice can be given to members on a range of facility development issues, from new build to small improvements. Advice ranges from need assessment and community consultation through to specifications and project management. When CCPFA does not have the expertise for a particular project, it will refer the community organisation to an appropriate source of advice.
CCPFA can advise on most projects likely to take place in community facilities. For example, play area construction and improvement, sports pitch construction, improvement and maintenance and pavilion or hall improvement and can also where appropriate project manage facility development where management committees feel they do not have the right skills or time to do this themselves.
CCPFA monitors grant funding opportunities from the major grant funding organisations, and will often be able to assist by suggesting the optimum funding options. It may also be able to guide organisations through the application process, increasing their chances of success. CCPFA can do this because it works with many community organisations in Cornwall, and is able to share it’s members experience of this.
