A Message from the Chair

Welcome to our brand new website!  The CCPFA have been helping protect open spaces (including those used for sport and recreation) in the County since 1965 (check)

We are now going through an exciting time for our organisation, revamping the service we offer and changing our constitution to better meet the needs of our members.  From now until April 2017 we are offering free membership ( and use of our services and resources ) to individuals, clubs, groups, charities and town and parish councils who are interested in supporting and protecting  open spaces in Cornwall for future generations.  We are also using this time to consult fully with members and potential new members on what they believe the role of the CCPFA should be.  Please take a few minutes to answer the survey at:  link to survey monkey questionnaire.  This will help us to understand what we can really do to make a difference and support you.

It is expected that recent planning legislation and Cornwall Council’s devolution agenda will potentially have a big impact on how our spaces are managed and run (and in some cases pose an increased  threat of losing some of much needed fields). The CCPFA have the knowledge and experience to minimise these threats.  Please contact us if you have any concerns or want our support.

We have also set up a member’s forum (in our members area) which we hope will be used to pose questions and provide answers to issues amongst members themselves.

Don’t forget to also check out our FREE training programme supported by the Lottery.  The training is open to any volunteer ( including committee members and trustees) who wish to learn more on the issues raised by running an open space.  If you have any ideas for additional training which you would like to see offered please do let us know.
